Highlights of the seventh month:
-8 teeth (ouch)
-loves smiling and giggling at strangers
-music makes him really happy
-refuses to wear shoes or socks
-started eating fruit
-scoots all over the place but he can't crawl yet
-whimpers like a puppy to get his point across
-loves rice crackers
-sweet as ever!

Laguna Beach Hike

Nothing like welcoming the new year 5 hours before midnight to accommodate the baby's schedule.

We started off the year with a hike in Laguna Beach. It was foggy at first but it eventually cleared up. No matter how many times I've done this hike, Laguna still amazes me.

Our New Year's resolution is to have more outing like this one. Good times.

Lucas's First Christmas

We had the sweetest Christmas morning with this little guy. Lucas woke up super happy, and he was really excited about pretty much everything (especially the wrapping paper). We didn't expect this from a six month old but he made our Christmas extra special.

This was also our first Christmas at our new home, I'm excited for all of the memories we are going make here. We went out looking at christmas lights around the neighborhood. And of course, there's a street nearby where all the neighbors go nuts with their decorations. There was ginger man cut outs is someone's lawn and we couldn't resist. So here you have it: my gingers being gingers. Awesome. Too bad I couldn't get in on the action.

At 6 months olds Lucas was a whopping 23 pounds, and in the 99.2 percentile for weight and 95th for height. I love his chubby rolls. This month he learn how to sit up and he also started eating solids. His first food was avocado (that might explain his waistline). We only introduced veggies during this month, and he like them all.

Lucas reeeeally likes bath time. I love watching his eyes light up the moment we put him in the water. It never gets old. Plus, he even enjoys a little light reading while he decompresses.
