Three Months!

This is the point where this blog turns into an official "mommy" blog, where all I do is talk about how many pounds the kid has put on. That's right. Baby Lucas is now 3 months old, he weights 18 pounds and is officially off the charts. He is solely breast feed, I'm not sure how he is getting so big. He is now sleeping through the night and we have a good routine going which makes life so much easier since I'm able to anticipate his needs. Although, I kind of miss our middle of the night cuddle sessions.

I love watching him try to figure out how his body works. He is currently obsessed with his hands. He likes to sit up all the time and loves people. He smiles at everyone and everything. Just yesterday I heard him laugh for the first time, it was the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Lucas is not much of a cryer (unless we deprive him of sleep) but when he gets mad he first starts off cooing and trying to talk to us like "hey people, pay attention to me" if we ignore him (not on purpose), his frustration escalates and so do his coos it's so funny to listen to, it sounds like he is cursing us in baby talk.

Lately I've been consumed by parenting books and articles, all which contradict each other. It's exhausting. I simply hope that our instincts will be right as we try and do our best to raise this little boy into a good and compassionate human being.
