How awesome would it be to dress up as a lego guy for Halloween?
The only downside, is that it would be hard to get our dance on in this costume. Last year our ridiculous earbud costumes were a hit, but not the most comfortable. If you follow my blog you know October is my favorite month. I just love everything about fall! Last night Ben made some yummy pumpkin muffins, he frosted them with nutella. They were moist and scrumptious, perfect for the misty weather we've been having. I'm looking forward to so many things this month including a little trip to Palm Springs, our anniversary, starting a new job in my field (public affairs, full time, with benefits the real deal) among other things. Last weekend was also the semi-annual general conference of our church, it was announced that a temple will be built in Tijuana, Mexico. As soon as we heard the news we both, without thinking about it, simultaneously did a happy dance and then hugged each other really tight. I'm pretty sure that's the first time two temples will be built within 30 miles of each other, yet in different countries. I have mixed feelings about this conference, some talks were really good, others I need to hear (or read) again. I LOVED President Monson's talk on gratitude. He said that gratitude is not just the noblest of virtues, but the parent of all others. I couldn't agree more. Another quote that stuck out to me was by Elder Richard G. Scott, he said "we become what we want to be, by consistently being what we want to become."
How did my Halloween post turn into a post about conference? My posts are like my mind, all over the place.
